You may notice these buttons on almost every leading blog or website, making it easy for readers to spread content among their communities through all of the leading forms of social networks, email services, and social news sites. Have you ever thought about how it could increase your blog traffic or even increase blog exposure in general?
I recently added the ability to share content on Venture Level by using a tool from SocialTwist called Tell A Friend. It is quite easy to set up the widget to be in your blog, as they guide you through the whole process in a few easy steps. After you install the widget, you are able to track stats to see how content is being shared. The good thing about Tell A Friend is that it doesn't slow down site load time too much, while providing the ability to share content through 40 or so forms of media. The widget doesn't take up much space, but when a user chooses to share content, for example, through Digg, a window pops up asking the user to input some information and submit their entry.

Having added the widget recently, I have seen the most uses for email sharing and bookmarking. Lets face it...people are lazy and they really want to be able to do something in a click instead of five clicks. By adding these buttons, readers are more likely to share content willingly, just because of the convenience it is to do things with just one click.
Do you have this implemented on your blog?
Are you going to add it?
Any other thoughts?
